Tax season can be a confusing and stressful time, and this tax year is no exception, especially with regard to the ending of COVID relief and CERB. This workshop will include topics such as: paying tax on earned income and calculating taxable income; claiming business expenses and required record keeping; HST and billing; Grants and T4s; and saving for the future. This informative session will benefit those looking to update their knowledge on taxes for artists, those seeking answers to specific questions, and artists who are new to the tax system.
Sunny Widerman has been a tax preparer and advisor since 2002, with a growing clientele of freelancers, business owners and professionals. Through her firm Personal Tax Advisors, Sunny specializes in helping clients take control of their tax planning by explaining the tax issues that affect them. She focuses on a gentle, non-threatening approach to financial issues and clear, jargon free language.
