Exhibition Assistance
Forest City Gallery operates as a third-party recommender for the Ontario Arts Council’s Exhibition Assistance program, specific to Zone 1, including Chatham, Durham, London, Owen Sound, St. Thomas, Sarnia, and Windsor. You must apply to a recommender located in the zone where you live. To find your zone, visit OAC's website.
The OAC's Exhibition Assistance program supports Ontario-based artists and artist collectives working in visual arts, craft and media art practices in the presentation of their artwork in a confirmed public exhibition.
Using Nova, OAC’s online grant application system, artists apply to the galleries and organizations designated as recommenders for the program. These recommenders assess applications and submit grant recommendations to OAC.
Visit OAC's website for complete information, including who is eligible, what expenses are eligible, and what expenses are ineligible.
The 2026-27 program is open from early June 2026 until January 15, 2027, 1:00 p.m. (EST).
Forest City Gallery accepts applications for Exhibition Assistance on an ongoing basis until our budget is spent. FCG will stop accepting applications once we have reached our funding limit for the year. This may happen at any time, including while you are working on an application. In this situation, even if you started your draft while we still had available funds, you will not be able to submit your application, and it will not be considered for funding. If other recommenders in Zone 1 are still accepting applications and your application is eligible, consider submitting it to one of them instead.
If you have any questions about applying to FCG for the Exhibition Assistance program, contact us at info@forestcitygallery.com.
