Forest City Gallery Annual General Meeting of the Membership SATURDAY, September 10th 2016 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: 1:00- 2:30 PM PUBLICATION LAUNCH PARTY: 2:30- 3:30 PM VINYL NIGHT: FOREST SPIN CITY / DOORS AT 8 PM  https://www.facebook.com/events/194888724261937/ Dear Forest City Gallery Member,          As a voting member of Forest City Gallery, we invite you to attend FCG’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, September 10th 2016 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM.  The meeting will start at 1:00 and run for approximately one hour with questions. After the AGM, FCG will host a drop-in Publication Launch Party for FCG’s anthology of articles spanning from 2012 to 2016. Thank you to Lynn Davis for sponsoring this publication project! The anthology will be available for purchase. This publication features articles written in response to past FCG exhibitions written by: Henry Adam Svec, Jon Davies, Kim Neudorf, Jenna Faye Powell, Jennifer Kennedy, Daniella Sanader, Vanessa Brown & Jason Dickson, with an afterword by Mack Ludlow and Dylan Macaulay. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available after the AGM.  Later that night, FCG wants to celebrate with you – presenting FCG's first vinyl night: Forest Spin City. Doors at 8 PM and will draw to a close at 12 AM.  The AGM agenda can be found here.  This AGM gives you the opportunity to meet the current Board of Directors, elect new members to the Board, and discuss our plans for the upcoming year. FCG's President, Gallery Director, Programming Chair, and other members of the Board will present reports detailing specific FCG operations and projects.  Now in our 43rd year of operations, 2016 has been full of new projects and initiatives. This year we have been particularly successful in the areas of programming and fundraising.  We invite you to share in our successes, as well as welcome your input and ideas as we look forward to the start of another year of exhibitions, concerts, lectures, gatherings, and events. If your membership has lapsed, we invite you to renew before the Annual General Meeting by filling out the membership form on our website at http://www.forestcitygallery.com/become-member. Renewing your membership ensures your continued support and participation in London’s only artist-run centre, as well as inclusion in FCG's upcoming Members' Show and Sale.  A strong membership base is essential in allowing FCG to fulfil our mandate of supporting innovative artistic practices with a focus on emerging artists. If you wish to renew in person on the day of AGM, please come to the gallery at least half an hour before the start of the meeting.  If you are a member in good standing and unable to attend the AGM, in accordance with our bylaws you may appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.  You can find the proxy ballot here.
