Wishing ED Adi Berardini farewell and thank you.
Wishing ED Adi Berardini farewell and thank you.

Dear Forest City Gallery Community,

It is with a mixture of gratitude and bittersweet sentiment that the Board of Directors announces the departure of our Executive Director, Adi Berardini. While we are saddened to see Adi leave this role at FCG, we are immensely proud of the work she has accomplished during her tenure for the last year-and-a-half and wish her the very best as she embarks on her next chapter.

During her time with Forest City Gallery, Adi has been a dedicated advocate for artist-run culture in London. Adi’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and vibrant space for artists has left a lasting mark on FCG, and we are deeply grateful for the care and energy she poured into our community. The Board is excited to see where Adi’s dedication to the community will take them.

Welcoming Our Interim Leadership

As we look toward the future, the Board is pleased to share that Maxwell Hyett will be stepping into the role of Interim Executive Director.

Maxwell brings a deep familiarity with FCG’s operations and a steadfast commitment to our mission. Cultivated during his term on the Board during 2023-2024, Maxwell held the Executive Committee role of Programming Chair and was in service to several operational committees during his time on the Board. He will lead the gallery over the next six months, ensuring stability and continuity for our upcoming exhibitions and members. This interim period will provide FCG with the necessary time to address staffing needs and ensure that our leadership structure remains responsive to the fast-evolving needs of the London arts ecosystem.

A Period of Thoughtful Growth

The Board of Directors remains fully engaged and committed to the well being and stability of the gallery and its resources during this transition. We view the coming months as an opportunity for reflection on our strategic planning, ensuring that FCG continues to be a site of critical resource development and grassroots community-building for years to come.

We invite you to join us in thanking Adi for her service and in welcoming Maxwell into this new role. We look forward to seeing you at the Forest City Gallery soon and continuing this journey together.

In community,

The Board of Directors Forest City Gallery
