Dear Forest City Gallery Members and Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we announce FCG has hired a new Gallery Director. In July, we received many applications from passionate and talented Artists and Arts Administrators from across the country. We were very thankful to have read about and researched their qualifications and contributions to visual culture and were also fortunate to have met and corresponded with many of them. This week we have made our decision and completed the hiring process for FCG’s Gallery Director.
Jenna Faye Powell has been hired as FCG’s Gallery Director. During the month of July, FCG was thankful to have Jenna as the Interim Gallery Director where she exemplified excellent work ethic, proficiency, organization and enthusiasm. You may have had the pleasure of meeting or working with Jenna in July whether at the Gallery for day to day operations, the Amy Lockhart exhibition, Knitting & Stitching at Forest City Gallery, the London Arts Council’s Viz-Biz, or community meetings and opening receptions. Jenna recently received her MFA from NSCAD and is living in London to continue her artistic practice in painting, sculpture and photography. In July, Jenna was announced as a finalist in the 2012 RBC Painting Competition. She will also be exhibiting at Museum London in the upcoming exhibition “Brave New Worlds.” Jenna is an active member of London’s art community. We look forward to having Jenna continue her work in the community with London’s Artist-Run Centre FCG.
Please join us in welcoming Jenna Faye Powell as FCG’s Gallery Director.
