Artist Talk - Justin A. Langois, Broken City Lab

Saturday, October 1, 2011

1:00pm

Exploring the social, economic, and political complexities that come to shape and enact locality is at the heart of the practice of Broken City Lab. In this presentation, BCL’s Research Director, Justin A. Langlois, will discuss his work and the things at stake in collaborative and social practices, along with the role of the artist in cities and their communities.

Justin A. Langlois holds an MFA in Visual Arts and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor and the research director of Broken City Lab. The talk will take place in the Forest City Gallery, in conjunction with the exhibition "and then the city..." opening September 9th 2011, and on view until October 21st. This artist talk is generously sponsored by Brenda Fuhrman.

This is one of the many FREE events taking place in London Ontario in collaboration with Culture Days! To find out about other London venues holding free events check out the Culture Days Website, or the London Arts Council's Event Calendar.
