Voting members of Forest City Gallery, are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on Saturday September 10, 2011. The meeting will start at 1:00 p.m. and run for approximately one hour. The agenda is available here as a pdf. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
This is your opportunity to meet the current Board of Directors, elect new members to the Board, discuss our plan for the upcoming year, and hear reports from our interim President, Administrative Director, Programming Chair, and other members of the Board. This past year has been extremely successful for Forest City Gallery in terms of our programming, fundraising, community outreach, and new initiatives. We invite you to share in our successes and we especially welcome your input and ideas as we look forward to the start of another year of exhibitions, lectures, gatherings, and events.
If you are not a current member and would like to become one, or your membership has lapsed we invite you to fill out the membership form on our website before the Annual General meeting. Sustaining your membership allows you to be an active participant of London’s only artist-run centre. A strong membership base is essential in allowing us to fulfil our mandate of supporting innovative artistic practices and emerging artists. If you wish to renew in person on the day of AGM, please come to the gallery at least half an hour before the start of the meeting. If you are a member in good standing and unable to attend the AGM, in accordance with our bylaws you may appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf. Proxy ballots may be obtained by contacting us at info@forestcitygalery.com. All are welcome to attend the meeting but as per our bylaws, only current members in good standing will be eligible to vote The complete bylaws can be downloaded here as a pdf.
